NY Easy Dates is a dating service specifically focused around helping young professionals in and around New York City to find love and companionship. Although the service is unlikely to be much use to you if you live in a different country (or even city), if you’re in the right place, NY Easy Dates could be the perfect service for you.

It gives users a great deal of flexibility in terms of how they use the service as they can explore the various events which are running, then sign up for which ever events they prefer. The events themselves can be tailored to suit an individual user’s needs and the team try to take on board their members’ feedback.

Users can join NY Easy Dates easily and quickly, and can get looking for the perfect match almost straight away. Members can first use the website to check events details, such as who they could expect to meet and what the venue has to offer.

The site also lists a full directory of the events taking place in the near future in all of the locations around New York City, giving members the opportunity to find the sort of event that is perfect for them. The events tend to be in bars, but you’ll also find something a little different now and then.

The events vary according to the type of speed dating that takes place. Members can decide whether to attend “6 minute” or “3 minute” events, giving them the chance to meet up to 40 people in an individual session.

Although the difference in the sessions is actually not that major, many users prefer to have a little longer than three minutes to get to know new members, so prefer to attend the longer sessions – it’s that simple!

As well as the dating events themselves, members can also explore a range of online features such as blogs, articles, dating guides and more, all of which help find the perfect match!

Unlike some other services we have reviewed in this category, NY Easy Dates does not have a monthly subscription fee. Rather, members simply pay per event, meaning there’s a lot of flexibility when using the service.

Members can expect to pay between $30 to $40 per event, which although a little higher than we would have liked to pay, means that regular users can benefit from ongoing promotions that help to ease the financial blow a little.

You can also buy multiple tickets at once, if you plan on going to a lot of the events, which offers a decent saving. The site now allows you to purchase tickets for friends, which is a good way of making sure you have someone to go along with if you’re a little shy or uncertain. 

Whilst this site will be very useful to singles in New York City, it’s not going to be of use to people who are looking for dates elsewhere.

Still, there are plenty of events going on, and although they’re a little pricier than you’ll find elsewhere, there are savings to be made around the site. Using a promotional code, for example, you can get $10 off your first event, making it something of a bargain.
